MeGUI: AutoEncode setting before the actual encoding

Continuing from the last step. Now that we've set the audio/video encoder profiles, we next proceed to the MeGUI AutoEncode (CTRL + F6).

MeGUI: File Indexing and making the encoder profiles

This is the start of our encoding process, now that we have all the files we need, all the apps and basic knowledge we want to know. Whether you prefer encoding using 10bit or 8bit, the same procedure on using MeGUI applies.

Initial Preparation: Extracting Font Attachments, Chapters, and Subtitles

Before the actual encoding, we'll first do the preparations on the source video tracks. We have to break down and get the necessary parts of the source. On this step, I decided to use an mkv source of a high quality and high resolution video.

MeGUI: Converting your x264 encoder for 10bit encoding

Now that we have discussed the differences between 8bit and 10bit video, you might have chosen which to encode yourself. This step will teach you how to change the default x264 encoder of MeGUI which is in 8bit into a 10bit encoder. So if you have chosen to encode 8bit videos, you may skip this step.

Video Bit Depth: 8bit and 10bit

Viewing mkv file properties using CCCP Player (open source codec pack)

Some may have already encountered this, but some people may still be unaware of the Hi10p video stream profile (AKA 10bit bit depth). Hi10p is rapidly getting popular on techie world lately, specifically on the multimedia technology.

Necessary programs/applications needed for mini mkv encoding

Now that we have discussed the FAQs about the mini mkv concept, we'll need to know which programs/applications are needed. All applications to be used are opensource, so you can download them all for free.

FAQs about the concept of mini mkv encoding

Before learning how make a mini mkv, we should first take a little look on the basic information about it.
